According to research conducted by the Institute for Women’s Policy Research, 2018 report, less than 3.4% of construction trade workers are women. That number is comparable with other SKILLED TRADES when it comes to percent of women.

WSWHE BOCES held a graduation ceremony on Thursday, August 5, 2021 honoring its 2020 and 2021 High School Equivalency (HSE) Program graduates.

Over the last few weeks Career and Technical Education students in the Heavy Equipment Operation and Maintenance, and Environmental Conservation & Forestry program from the F. Donald Myers Education Center in Saratoga Springs have been using their skills for community service at the Washington County Fair Grounds.
Congratulations to Keegan Dussault, a senior from Saratoga Springs High School who is in the Early Childhood Education Program at the F. Donald Myers Education Center, and to Nathan Springer, a senior from South Glens Falls High School who is in the Early Childhood Education Program at the Southern Adirondack Education Center. Keegan was awarded the Saratoga County School Boards Association Community Service Award. And Nathan was awarded the Adirondack Area School Boards Association Community Service Award. Congratulations to all of the award recipients.
