At the July 12, 2023 WSWHE BOCES Board of Education meeting, John Rieger was presented with a Spotlight Award.

The 59th annual SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference is the ultimate recognition of career and technical education excellence. Nine WSWHE BOCES students from the Southern Adirondack Education Center, F. Donald Myers Center and Early College Career Academy (ECCA) showcased their framework skills at the Conference from June 19 to June 23 in Atlanta, Georgia.

The WSWHE BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTE) program celebrated 278 high school seniors from the Southern Adirondack Education Center (SAEC) who received completion certificates on June 16, 2023.

This year, 288 high school seniors received their completion certificates from the F. Donald Myers Education Center on June 15, 2023. The ceremony was held at the Saratoga City Center.

The Washington Street Teaching and Learning Center (WSTLC) students were recognized on June 16, 2023. Students, families, staff and friends were in attendance to celebrate the students’ growth and milestones for the school year.

Twenty seven students in the WSWHE BOCES Exceptional Learners Division received their completion certificates on June 9 and June 12, 2023.

The Early College Career Academy (ECCA), a partnership program between WSWHE BOCES and SUNY Adirondack, held its Completion Ceremony at the Charles R Wood Theater in Glens Falls on June 8, 2023.

Similar to special events for high school athletes signing commitment letters to colleges where they will play sports, or high school seniors donning collegiate shirts from the colleges where they have been accepted on designated college acceptance days, the WSWHE BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Practical Nursing program recognized 56 students who will go directly into the workforce at CTE Signing Day on June 7.

Congratulations goes out to Alexander Mulvey and Zachary Pingelski who received recognition as WSWHE BOCES students for their community service work.

WSWHE BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTE) and the Early College Career Academy (ECCA) students participated in the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Championships from April 26 to 28, 2023 in Syracuse, NY at the NYS Fairgrounds. Thousands of students were in attendance. WSWHE BOCES students returned with Champion titles in their respective fields. There were several first place winners.
