The National Technical Honor Society recognizes high-achieving students enrolled in career and technical education programs across the country. The organization promotes ideals such as honesty, service, leadership and skilled craftsmanship. Its mission is to celebrate student excellence, support educational and career goals, and increase awareness of the value of technical education among business and industry leaders.
To be considered for membership, students must meet rigorous criteria. This includes earning a minimum average of 94 in their career and technical education courses and a 90 average in English language arts or math. Students must also receive instructor endorsement and demonstrate the society’s core attributes of knowledge, skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship and leadership.
This distinction is reserved for students who excel academically while demonstrating a strong commitment to personal and professional excellence.
