three people on wnyt's let's eat

Host of WNYT's Let's Eat, Jill Konopka with Diajhanae Walker and Chef Matt Young

On March 31, Chef Matt Young, the culinary arts instructor from the Southern Adirondack Education Center, and Diajhanae Walker, a CTE culinary arts student from Hartford Central School District, appeared on WNYT's Let's Eat cooking show. It was Chef Young's first appearance. He is continuing the tradition of CTE culinary instructors bringing students on the show after Chef Maureen Clancy of the F. Donald Myers Education Center retired last spring. Chef Clancy was a regular on the show. The pair's debut performance was a success. They demonstrated how to use molecular gastronomy to make a strawberry shortcake. Diajhanae is also the 2018 New York State SkillsUSA job skills demonstration champion. With a few new techniques, she hopes defend her title at this years competition and advance to the national level.  Below is a link to their appearance.
