Horse Care
A two-year program that includes training of Morgan horses for riding, using all related tack and equipment. Students learn the role of the caretaker, safety, professionalism, handling of horses, and riding. Students spend a majority of their time at the Rolling Oaks Farm in Gansvoort where they learn and apply equine and veterinary science on Saddlebred horses.
Curriculum includes commencement level math and English language arts. All students are given the opportunity to participate in a Work-Based Learning experience, which exposes them to the operation of a business and specific job duties related to future careers.
